Internationally Renowned Audio Facility, Independent Mastering, Launches "Independent" Mastering Giveaway
Over $30K In Audio Mastering Packages Will Be Given To Six Independent Music Artists By Random Drawing
June 1, 2009 (Nashville, TN)- In 2001, Eric Conn and partner Don Cobb opened Independent Mastering in Nashville and, over the past eight years, have brought their studio to the forefront as a worldwide industry leader in audio post and CD mastering.

The halls of Independent Masteringare lined with Gold and Platinum albums that read like a who’s who of popular music from Garth Brooksto Quincy Jones, Jimmie Buffettto Waylon Jennings, and a few modestly placed Grammy winners throughout including John Prine’s Fair and Squareand Tim O’Brien’s Fiddler’s Green

To celebrate Independent’s successful eight-year run, they want to give back to the music community in the form of mastering giveaways to randomly selected independent artists from all over the world, one per month to be more specific.

Independent’s Mastering Giveaway will begin with the first drawing on July 31st and one drawing every month after that, through December 31st, for a total of six mastering packages worth a hefty $30K.

And why would they do all of this? Conn says, “We’ve had a lot of support from our worldwide clients over the years, some of whom we’ve never even met thanks to Internet FTP & FedEx. We felt it was time to give a little back to the community”

Winners will be announced at the beginning of every month starting in August. For more information and rules Enter The Giveaway.

2009 is off to a fantastic start with three John Waitealbum projects as well as three Jack White (The Raconteurs, White Stripes)and two Cage The Elephant singles.  Also in the studio this year, Ray Benson, finishing  Willie And The Wheel featuring Willie Nelson and Asleep At The Wheel(co produced by the late Jerry Wexler)and Nickel Creek’s Sarah Watkinswith producer John Paul Jones, of Led Zeppelinfame, wrapping her solo debut on Nonesuch Records.

Independent is also kicking it into overdrive with the addition of a “B” room due to roll out in May. “We currently have three Sonic Solutions/SonicStudio workstations and one SADiE workstation on line all day, every day, in “A” room and a small editing room, but we can't handle the foot traffic. Adding a second suite will allow us to better streamline the workflow and have more room for attended sessions” says Conn.

Independent Mastering may be based in the Country Music capital, but their eclectic discography includes a variety of record labels, producers, artists, and engineers from around the world and within all genres of music.
