Crimes of Passion

Crimes of Passion have been described as one of the hardest working new rock
bands in the UK. Tours supporting the likes of Statetrooper, Gotthard, Jeff
Scott Soto, Great White and White Lion have honed their performance to a
fine art, they always impress audiences where ever they take to the stage.

And they don't disappoint in the studio either.  The time spent writing and
recording their self titled release has paid dividends.  John Mitchell
(Enter Shikari, Funeral For a Friend) has contributed an awesome mix to 11
finely crafted rock songs, which garnered the attention of a number of
record labels.  The band finally settled on a deal with Vigilante Music, and
the album will see its European release on July 21st 2008.

The riffing guitar of Andy Lindsay, is more than matched by the ferocious
rhythm section of Kev Tonge (drums) and Simon Fearne (Bass) and finely
topped off with the powerful voice and showmanship of Dale Radcliffe.

The band have made a lot of friends during their live outings, including
Tony Mills (Shy, TNT) who has contributed his backing vocal talents to some
of the songs on the album.

More touring beckons, and the band have already started writing their next
album!  This is a band who seriously live for their music!

The band are currently impressing audiences across Europe as main support to
White Lion.

Lipstick Magazine sign European distribution deal.

 

New Jersey rock band, Lipstick Magazine has signed a distribution and marketing deal with Vigilante Music, which will see their album "Skin Deep" released across Europe on August 4th.

 

The astonishing vocals of Toni, the memorable performances, and the pure and genuine rock n roll sound known as Lipstick Magazine captivate huge audiences every time they hit the stage. Their potential to go on to become one of the most successful bands to ever come out of New Jersey has caught the attention of both Nightmare Records in the US, to whom they have just signed a North American deal, and to Vigilante in the UK. The band has been working hard in the US, supporting the likes of Winger, DangerDanger, Jani Lane, Doro, UFO, Yes, Kix, and Bret Michaels and are about to embark on more live appearances, including Rocklahoma 2008, and supporting Bret Michaels once again with a VIP after party at Crocodile Rock in Allentown, PA.

STARBREAKER

Frontiers Records is pleased to announce the release of the highly anticipated STARBREAKER second album "Love's Dying Wish" on August 1st 2008.

Starbreaker's self-titled debut album caused a stir in the Hard Rock world, upon its release in spring 2005. Featuring world renowned musicians such as singer Tony Harnell (TNT, Westworld, Morning Wood), guitarist Magnus Karlsson (Allen / Lande, Primal Fear), bassist/producer Fabrizio Grossi (Glenn Hughes, House of Lords) and John Macaluso (Malmsteen, TNT, Ark) on drums, the record garnered enormous acclaim and was featured as the cover story on the prestigious "Rock It" magazine in Germany, with fantastic reviews World wide.

Following Harnell's departure from TNT in 2006, Tony took a little time off the business to spend time with his family and write songs. In late 2007 he flew to Sweden to write the bulk of the songs for the new album with Karlsson and started the recording of the new songs at the end of the year. The highly anticipated brand new CD is entitled "Love's Dying Wish" and is a true Hard Rock/Metal masterpiece. The album was written and produced by Harnell and Karlsson and was mixed by respected producer Tommy Hansen (TNT, Jorn, Pretty Maids, Helloween).

New bassist Jonni Lightfoot (a touring and recording veteran with extensive credits to his name) replaced Grossi in the line up. He has added a tasteful but aggressive touch to this magnificent piece of work and compliments Macaluso's flashy drumming perfectly.

"Love's Dying Wish" is a very special album that progresses from where the Starbreaker debut left off. With a fresh diversity that spans from pounding metal, to deep moody passages wrapped in a dark and beautifully melodic package. The stunning talents of Harnell and Karlsson are on display in spades with electrifying performances and stellar song writing. These two have truly developed a unique and timeless sound together. Simply brilliant, "Love's Dying Wish" is going to blow away both old and new fans.

FROM THE INSIDE

Frontiers Records is pleased to announce the release of FROM THE INSIDE second album "Visions" on August 1st 2008.

FROM THE INSIDE is the project that marked the start of the cooperation between legendary Melodic Rock singer Danny Vaughn (Tyketto) and Frontiers Records. Released in September 2004, the first album was welcomed with great acclaim from both fans and press and it finally brought Danny back to the classic Melodic Rock sounds. Together with producer Fabrizio Grossi (Glenn Hughes, Starbreaker) he was able to put together a finely crafted and top quality contemporary Melodic Rock release.

In the winter of 2007, Danny and Frontiers Records President Serafino Perugino once again discussed the production of a true Melodic Rock record in the vein of classic Journey and Tyketto that could follow in the footsteps of the successful debut - From The Inside. Fab Grossi was again recruited and the two of them worked on the songwriting, along with keyboardist Eric Ragno.

Danny says: "I always like the idea of a challenge that steps outside of what I normally do. I have to approach the writing and performing of the songs from a different angle than I would with my own stuff. Fabrizio and I set out some guide lines of the type of songs that we wanted to do and we kept coming back to the idea of doing an album with a real Journey vibe. How challenging is that? Having just come off tour with Journey themselves, I was in the right frame of mind to do that and I think the 6 songs that he, Eric and I wrote together really show what we're capable of. "From The Inside" was a very successful album with my fans, so I was very interested in trying another one. Let's see what they think!"

The songs were later complemented by additional killer tracks penned especially for the album by Tom and James Martin (of Khymera, Ted Poley and House of Lords fame), with "Love Is No Stranger" by Joey Carbone (Joseph Williams) later added to the album, thus completing the tracklisting.

Recording sessions finished in the winter of 2008 with Jimi Bell (House of Lords), handling guitar duties and Peter Lobo on drums. Tommy Hansen (TNT, Jorn, Pretty Maids, Helloween etc) took care of the mix in April.

The result is a truly amazing Melodic Rock album with a harder edge: a flawless collection of extremely well-written songs, with tight musicianship and the vocals... well, this just may be Danny Vaughn's greatest vocal performance to date. "Visions" will absolutely take your breath away. A must have release for 2008!

JIMI JAMISON

In the fall of 2008, Frontiers Records will be releasing the long-anticipated Jimi Jamison album. Taking over the lead vocal slot for Survivor in 1984, Jimi sang some of that band's biggest hits: "I Can't Hold Back", "The Search Is Over", "High On You", the Platinum smash from the film Rocky IV, "Burning Heart" and as a solo artist, the main TV theme composition, "I'm Always Here", which he co-wrote and performed TV show worldwide, "Baywatch".

Following his departure from Survivor in 2006, Jimi continued his career playing successful live shows and reuniting with the other ex Survivor songwriter and co-producer Jim Peterik , Jimi has been recording the album his fans have long been hungry for. "It was a special moment when Jim joined me onstage at a benefit show in 2007 to sing a duet on The Search Is Over. The audience seemed to get as emotional as we did not having been on stage together since 1988", says Jimi. After that day, the two Jim's started talking about a new Jamison album that would pick up where Survivor left off.

Jim Peterik says: "When I started writing with Jimi's great voice in mind, the ideas and melodies just started to flow. No one can interpret one of my songs like Jaimo". The new album is going to be a masterpiece of Melodic Rock: heartfelt lyrics, soaring melodies and the hooks that have always been Jim Peterik's trademark.

It was then a natural step for Jamison and Peterik to speak with Frontiers Records President Serafino Perugino, who immediately did not loose the chance to be part of this truly exciting project. The first fruit of this hard work, "Behind The Music" (Jim Peterik described it as "Rebel Son meets I Can't Hold Back"), was included in the Frontiers Records compilation "Rock the Bones Vol. 6" and can also be heard for this week in streaming on the Frontiers Records myspace page main music player (www.myspace.com/frontiersrecords).

Jamison says that Peterik always knew "How to bring the best out in me as a vocalist. I call him coach!". From the ballad "Lost" to the rich harmony vocals of "Make Me A Believer" (featuring Kelly Keagy of Night Ranger on drums) to the hard-rocking social statement "Can't Look Away", Jimi has hit the vocal stride that made him one of this generation's most influential singers. Also included here is Jim and Jimi 's tribute to 80's rock, "When Rock Was King". It name checks some of rock's biggest influences and features Jimi along with Don Barnes of .38 Special, Joe Lynn Turner of Rainbow, Toby Hitchcock of Pride Of Lions, Lisa McClowry, Jim Peterik, the other ex Survivor vocalist Dave Bickler and more.

Later this year, Jimi will mount a worldwide tour in support of this album. From his early days with Target, then on to Cobra and finding his wings with Survivor, Jimi Jamison is ready to capture his next frontier.
