Verdict: This is one of the best independent releases I've reviewed at Mood Swings
I'd never heard of Innuendo before this, but this is actually their third album, imaginatively titled "Three". These guys hail from Phoenix, Arizona and they've put together this independent release.

From the first time listening to the opening track, "Hard To Believe", my reaction was very positive. There are 17 tracks on this making just over 1 hour of music. It is amazing how quickly an hour can go in when you're enjoying yourself. There is plenty of variety on offer to keep you interested.

A mixture of semi-acoustic AOR and lightweight pop rock populates the CD. If you're looking for comparisons then Nelson are the act that come closest. With 17 tracks I'll spare you detailed descriptions of the entire contents. I mentioned the variety earlier, well here's what is on offer and my faves from each category - uptempo acoustic [Hard To Believe], semi-acoustic [Love Has Found You, Angel], rockier material [Twist My Arm (party rock that comes across as an intelligent version of Poison meets Nelson)], lightweight rock [Does Anybody Care (a streetwise jazzy vibe), You Have My Heart (a gentle tune that echoes Extreme/Von Groove), ballads [Fly Away (latter day Von Groove), 'Til The End Of Time (a poignant ballad that regains your attention after a couple of ok-ish tunes), Song On The Radio (an acoustic guitar number ala Mr Big)] and instrumentals [Serenade].

Innuendo's brand of semi-acoustic pop rock certainly found favour with me. This is one of the best independent releases I've reviewed at Mood Swings. Maybe the AOR/MR record labels should be releasing something like this instead of rehashed demos for minor stars from yesteryear.
